NOTE:  Teams have a maximum rostar size. If that rostar size is met and there is not enough kids registered for a 2 nd team your child will be put on a waitlist. At these age levels there are no try-outs! 

MANDATORY FUNDRAISING:

Each Family will be required to sell $100.00 in fundraising. To kick off the season we will be having a cash raffle. Books will be handed out at Equipment pickup (beginning of July) and MUST be paid for on that date. Once you sell your tickets you keep the money collected. 

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT

The Transcona Nationals are run entirely by volunteers and we need everyone’s help!

For the 2024 season the volunteer commitment will be 3 game day shifts per player. We will require a volunteer deposit of $150 at equipment pickup. The deposit can be made by cash or a cheque dated October 31, 2024. Once you have completed your 3 shifts, your deposit will be returned to you. If at the end of the season your shifts have not been fulfilled, your cheque will be cashed.

If you wish to pay out your volunteer time instead, we will use your deposit to hire a teenager to work your shift. Please inform a board member when making your deposit.

Volunteering can be done at anytime. You are not required to volunteer during your player’s game.

ALL TWELVE CLUBS AFFILIATED WITH THE MANITOBA MINOR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (MMFA) WILL BENEFIT FROM A GRANT PROGRAM FUNDED BY BELL TO COVER REGISTRATION FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR TACKLE FOOTBALL PROGRAM.

  • Youth must be between the ages of 8-16 years old and must be enrolled in school.
  • The Winnipeg Football Club will be selecting a minimum of three applications for each club. Applications that meet the criteria will be processed on a first come, first served basis.
  • Net family household income must be under $75,000 a year

Provide grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Winnipeg can play a season of sport

  • grants of up to $500.00 per child/year

  • To be eligible for funding for one or more children, families must first meet specific financial criteria as per Revenue Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart.
  • Children must fall between the ages of 4 - 18 years old.
  • The maximum amount of funding per application is $300.00
